Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal reaction of the body to stressful situations. It can become a disorder when it is excessive, persistent and difficult to control.

It can manifest itself in different ways, ranging from mild worry to severe anxiety.



Common signs of anxiety:


  • Constant and excessive worry about future events, even if it is unlikely to happen.

  • A general muscle tension, particulary in the neck, shoulders and back.

  • Persitent fatigue sometimes linked to insomnia.

  • Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or having restful sleep.

  • Increased sensitivity to situations that would not normally provoke such reactions, sometimes accompanied by catastrophic thoughts.

  • Difficulty concentrating on difficult tasks, feeling restless, tense or nervous.

  • Headhaches, stomach aches, sweating, tremors, dry mouth...
